Oh Bidadari..

Tuesday, June 10, 2008 .. Link
I'm gonna open today's (or is it this month's) entry with the opening of "Di Kala Rembulan Bermain Biola" by Hujan

...ssyyhhh
...listen....

.....

Oh Bidadari...

Fuiyoh! Nice.

Anyway, here's the rundown of our schedule, just so that you won't miss us so much. Ala jangan tipu.... miss kan?

I was in Terengganu for one day yesterday. If you must know, the annual Ed@ran Endur@nce will be held this month end at Lembah B!d0ng. Will be in Tanjung Rhu R beginning Thursday to Sunday. Newt week shall be extremely perapet tight for, hopefully, the SCAMPI A until early July.

Firhad, well 'So You Think You Can Dance S2' has been on air for quite sometime. 8tv is showing it live every Thursday at 930pm. You can find it on Y0utube somewhere. The next best thing is the free concert every Sunday beginning this week called 'Unzipped'. Almost all known local indie bands will be performing. Firhad put his soul on this one... so feel free to check out the concert.

Najwa. Another tooth fell off last Sunday. She's eager to go back to school this morning. I'm so proud of her. Never failed to amaze me, this girl.

Naim. hmm... he has a school trip today. I shall wait for his summary of the trip. Last Sunday, he ran to me after I came back from work and queried with big eyes, "Ibu, am I getting married?"

Huh? Ni mesti kerja Ayah De dia. Then Naim bombarded me questions like these:

Ibu, are you still married? Yes, I'm married to Abah. Oh yeah I know that *rolls eyes*
You only marry one time? Huh?
You only marry abah? *his mouth agape*
How long are you gonna be married? As long as it takes la, Insya Allah. *he slaps his forehead*
Am I getting married? But I dunwannah get married Hish! Kalau ada jodoh, kahwin la Im! *Ibu tak kuasa nak layan*

So, how's the new gaya hidup treating you so far?

Pricks with Calculators

I found this site: http://uncyclopedia.org/wiki/Auditor...i/Auditor.

Excerpt from 'Auditors and Reproduction'

"..The more unexpected discrepancies that they find, the more sexually aroused they become. If at the end of the day they conclude that the company has been overstating their widgets, they will spontaneously orgasm en masse and begin to practice their double-entry by way of celebration..."

Evilnya lawak macam ni. Tak kelakar la woi!

...

Oh gosh they have one for internal auditors too. http://uncyclopedia.org/wiki/Interna...nal_audit.

Engineers aye? Check this out: http://uncyclopedia.org/wiki/Enginee.../Engineer.
"It is a common misconception that there are no female engineers. This is not the case. They simply look so alike as to be utterly indistinguishable. It's the beards."

hahahha

while you're at it, check out what the site has to say about Mat Rempit

Can anyone be blamed for loving this book (and cry buckets while reading it... or while watching the movie)?

Not a sucker for chic-lit are you? Well... kiss me arse!

After watching the movie, alone, I wish:

a. I could jump across the sofa into Firhad's arms
b. Firhad is strong enough to catch me ha ha ha
c. Words of apologies can come as quick and as hot as THAT.
d. Firhad can wear singlet like that while playing guitar. Eh wait.. no more guitar?? dang!
e. I could go to Ireland and.. lost my way there.
f. I meet an Irishman while I'm at (e) kih kih kih preferably someone looking like this:

Yumms?

If only I can convince my 'loave' to watch the movie.

Message on pillows

Monday, April 28, 2008 .. Link
I shared a story with Olab, on skype, about a couple who has a pillow each with the words "I'M SORRY" on one side and "I LOVE YOU" on the other. Each time they have a fight, one of them would turn the "I'M SORRY" side up (because that's the hardest thing to say in a relationship). So when the partner walks in, cair la kira. The couple claims it worked ALL the time.

All couples should have 'em pillows. At least I do. Not on sale, yet, at ishoppeville.com. We ended up chuckling away on what could be potential high in demand pillows. Here are excerpts of our conversation:

kalau ada pillow tulis "NAK DUIT" pun ok

glow in the dark better eh
kot la tak nampak gelap2 tuh

ataupun yg tulis "MALAM NI, ON?"
kekeke

or "LINE TAK CLEAR"

aah

ahaahahah

pastu anak pun ada one set "KAKAK BELUM TIDUR LAGI"

ahahahha

Other suggestions:

1. "WAKE ME UP" and on the other side "WITH YOUR TONGUE" hor hor hor okayla... can have series of this.
2. "IF YOU CAN READ THIS, PLEASE SWITCH OFF THE LIGHT"
3. "DAH GOSOK GIGI?"
4. "2 HALF BOILED EGGS FOR BREAKFAST, PLEASE"
5. "I'M STILL MAD"
6. "HONEY, YOU MAY WANT TO SIGN UP FOR THAT GYM CLASS"
7. "HONEY, I BUSTED OUR BUDGET FOR THIS MONTH.. AND THE NEXT"
8. "GET A HAIRCUT"
9. "IT'S MY BIRTHDAY TOMORROW". For all occasions actually. Mothers Day, wedding anniversary, first date anniversary, first call anniversary etc.
10. "NEW TUDUNG TOMORROW. SILA PUJI"

*giggles*.
Any more to add?

Tips to attend a malay wedding

Sunday, April 20, 2008 .. Link
The next time you attend a malay wedding, remember these points:

1. Small pouches, cute little handbags or glittery purses are nice and most probably match with your mak-datin look but you may want to bring a bigger bag or a tote for a change.

Wanna know why? Because you'll bring back bunga telur. Not only yours, your husband punya lah, anak-anak lah. Lagi ramai anak lagi besau beg kena bawak. These days they don't give boiled egg wrapped in green hankie anymore. In fact, the term bunga telur is no longer applicable. Where's the telur?

Kena kepit purse, kena pegang beberapa bunga telur, kena pegang shades (sebab tak muat masuk dalam purse kecik), kena jaga selendang lagi. Oh sungguh tak vogue.

So there, ditch the small purse.

2. Bring wet wipes. If you need to use your hands to eat, you must know the hand wash is hardly enough for the two of you. Use the kendi just enough to wash off nasi from your fingers. Use the wet wipes to finish the job.

3. You know those white embroided (sometimes lacy) short kebaya from Ind0nesia? Lovely right? I was told they're cheap too. Read my lips: Don't wear them to weddings! Regardless, how unique or grandeur you think yours is. Read no. 4 for the explanation.

4. Nowadays, weddings are all about theme; colors and style. Before the wedding, spy or snoop or ask what will the kendarat or penanggar be wearing for the big day.

Because, my dear ladies, you do not want to end up looking like one of those kendarat. *hmmpfft*

In fact, they should state the wedding theme in the wedding card. That would be more useful than pantun or unreadable maps. Besides, they already spent so much on the cards, pre ordered from the neighbouring country, they might as well utilise whatever vacant spaces on the card, aye?

Better than cupcakes story

Monday, April 14, 2008 .. Link
Seeing Gartblue with her 3 (or was it 4) updates today made me wanna update this blog. Only I don't have success cupcakes story to tell.

Firhad said I should do a review on how crappy Beowulf is. True, Mrs Pitt was nekkid in it but seriously it was animated ok. Nobody told me Beowulf is actually an animation. Totally not worthy to watch. Ceh!

Have you watched Juno? I like! It was smart and funny. Odd that someone can come up with that storyline. Selamba je. I know you people are too lazy to click on the link. Juno, played by Ellen Page, is 16, totally cool and pregnant. The movie is about her ordeal and her parents' unconditional love. Oprah invited Ellen Page and Jennifer Garner to promote the movie on her show. She also invited the screenwriter, Diablo Cody, who was a full time stripper. Huh fancy that... you wouldn't know where your career gonna lead you. Oh the minute she speaks, I could almost ternganga... she IS Juno!

Firhad also said I should blog about him becoming Ellen Degeneres, not the gender part, please, that would be too confusing. Did I tell you I'm in love with Ellen Degeneres? I do. Well, anyway Firhad got himself a pair of converse shoes. But I don't think it's worthy to mention it here. Heh. Eh Naim also got a pair too.

I'm gonna end this entry with a soundtrack from Once, Falling Slowly by Glen Hansard and Marketa Irqlova. Nice!

Hello, I love you

Hello
I love you!!
*hang up*

Hello. I love you too!!
I...aik?

*chuckles*

Hello
I love you!!
Nak cakap dengan X yer?
*gulp*

Hello
I love you!!
Huh? ohkaaaay. Err...What did you BUY?
Nothing. What? I cannot say I love you meh?
Of course you can. So you didn't buy anything. Hmm..What did you DO?
Nothing la. I didn't do anything *giggles* Aiyooo. Must have reasons to say 'I love you' ka? This is bad. We should say 'I love you' more often! *pout*
Ok ok sorry. Yes, yes we should. Errr.. you must've read about some jerk, non-worthy, useless man somewhere that made you think I'm a better man.
Err... yes. *snicker* But I DO love you, you know.
Yes yes I know. I love you too.

What a day!

Thursday, April 3, 2008 .. Link

Early this morning Naim mumbled about the monopoly set that I've hidden from him earlier. Minutes after that we found him sprawled underneath the 4tier chest-drawer cabinet. The drawers and the contents were all over him. He must've climbed the cabinet to look for the set.

Naim was conscious but a little too quite. Firhad hefted the cabinet while I, managed to carry Naim out. He has a long scratch on his left arm, no other visible injury. Syukur Alhamdulillah! He was still quiet and shaking in my arms for few minutes after which he walked downstairs for his usual routine - tengok tv. He is back to his usual chirpy mode.

Naim is at least 15kg. Nasib baik dia tu kecik *wink Aliya*

The gynae's clinic is only opened at 9am so we waited at home. Just before 9am, I received a call from school. The teacher said Najwa is shivering and has a temperature while sitting for her English paper. Today is supposed to be her last day of exam.

We rushed to school. She was fine this morning although yesterday she showed me her wobbly tooth, for the first time. Heh. Demam nak tumbuh gigi besau kot?

After a visit to the clinic, Firhad sent her home while I went to the hospital. Nothing major except probably the stomach muscles were strained when I lifted Naim. Hur hur teringat cerita pasal surgical wound bernanah lepas angkat pasu. *phew*

"Dear, you should rest. How many days do you need?"
"Alamak Doc! I banyak kerja ... tapi ...badan sendiri lagi penting kan?" ;)
.........

So there, what a day for our family.

Nothing happened to Firhad except today is the first time he wears a salmon pink t-shirt. *giggles* Not bad whaaat?

My essentials

Monday, March 31, 2008 .. Link
Everyone has their personal favourite products; be it cosmetics, food items, clothing line or simply preferred brand of all time. I have a list of best-loved items too. More of wishlist actually. Want 'em but don't need 'em. Generally it's the cost factor. I usually bargain for my need items. They must be effective, practical, easy to find and most importantly cheap. These are my top 3 essentials:

No 1: Miyami 2 way foundation

I don't need to tell you why it's called 2 way eh. The key word is 'instant'. Miyami is easy and fast to use, long lasting, natural looking and most importantly provides great cover up for noda-noda di muka. Miyami works beautifully on my skin. Normal price is RM28.50 but i heard it's on promotion now at only RM16.50.

No 2: Vitamin E Colonial Dames

This one works as moisturizer also as foundation-based. On the bottle also states it helps to reduce fine wrinkles. Tak tau lah betul ke tidak sebab I'm too young to have any *bleargh!*. Other brands usually resulted in me having breakouts. Even those expensive ones are not suitable for me. So after the first bottle, I vouched to stick to this brand. Per bottle is about RM30+ that could last you months as you need only 2 drops for your face. Kalau muka lebar lebih la kot. The one I'm using is 17,000 I.U. I've tried the 30,000 I.U but it's too sticky for the face la. Oh! Guardian now offers discounts for this brand. The price now is only RM23 or somewhere there la.

No 3: Lip Ice Sheer Colour

I like! i like! I wanted a lip balm for my dry lips. So I chose this product because it's cheap and it's colorless or so I thought. Actually once I put it on, it leaves a soft pale pink color that makes my lips look naturally healthy (and luscious hah!). Less than RM13 at Watsons. I apply lip ice 24/7.

No 4: C-Mama Healing salve

Okay I know I said 'Top 3' but this is my list so leave me be! This is my latest fav! I got it from ishoppeville *waves at Olab*. You must think that I'm doing favours for her. I'm not.. I mean I am.. but I really like this product! I had a c-sect long cut right? I can't really compare with previous experience or other people's cut (unless ada orang volunteer nak tunjuk scar masing-masing la kan). But after 3 weeks of using this, both ends of the scar has faded and flattened. Oh don't ask me for visual proof. Just trust me!

I love the smell of the ointment. The texture is soft and moist which makes it easier to lather on the scar. I really appreciate this since I'm so pengecut to touch the scar during the first 2 weeks. The container is cute too. I have no problem carrying it around in my make-up bag. It was said that the result can be seen in 2-3 months depending on the person. Can't wait! This product can also be used on stretch marks, burns and rashes. Try la!

So those are my essentials (Firhad's essential is his rokok which is ridiculously expensive! Not recommended at all, regardless of brands heh!). All four works wonderfully on me, hopefully on you too :).

Let's make this a tag. What are your essentials?

Covering one’s aurat is a religious obligation, yes? It’s more than that, really. To me at least. Covering aurat also serves to proclaim true beauty in all sense of word for a woman.

In man-woman relationship, the woman’s aurat is for her man. She denies access from other men – view and touch. What she has is discreet and holy. Her veiled skin, her curves, softness of her touch. The endurance of guarding her modesty. Only to her man she gives it all. Such devotion is insanely romantic.

There’s no surprise in ‘revealed’ assets. Seen the neck, belly-button, arms and thighs. Tak thrill la. Discovering is stimulating. Discreet to all and yet bare to one. We are sexier that way.

;)

Esok cukup 30 hari saya berpantang. Kalau ikut pantang keguguran, esoklah tamatnya. Tapi kalau ikut pantang beranak cara cesarean, saya hanya baru 30% selesai tempoh pantang. Apakah kata survey?

We want our men kulit cantik juga, tak banyak angin. Bukan ke semua orang tak nak buncit? I tell you one good thing about buncit dan perut berlapis. You can hide your scar! Bukan ‘Gunting dalam lipatan tetapi ‘Parut dalam lipatan’. Heh.

Cuti sekolah dah habis. Kesian anak2 tak berjalan kemana. Saya dah cukup segar untuk membawa kereta tapi not sure whether I should.

Najwa ada sukan Sabtu ni. Dia rumah hijau.

Sambil saya menaip, beliau sedang asyik bermain game 'Black'. Permainan tembak-tembak yang sungguh saya tak faham dimana asyiknya kecuali graphic yang cantik.

Selepas saya menziarah Doktor Gigi, Tini pula menyusul. Berjangkit ek? Rupanya dia dah lama sakit tapi ditahan sendiri sampai bengkak sebelah pipi. Adoi! kenapa nak tahan dik oi! Lebih baik la sakit beranak daripada sakit gigi. Kakak resepsi di Klinik Gigi kata 'Bak majikan, bak pekerjanya. Dua2 takut jumpa doktor'. Hawau!

Selama saya beristirehat dirumah, saya dengan penuh nada kembangnya berjaya menghabiskan beberapa buah buku cerita. Tapi tidak sebanyak Firhad, walaupun dia tak bercuti seperti saya. Katanya tadi "I ran out of books to read".

Sekian sahaja rapuan saya pada malam ini.

Dear Dentists

Wednesday, March 12, 2008 .. Link

For the record, we don’t walk into your office leisurely. When we do, we must be in throbbing ‘do a wrist lock-break an arm – hammer someone’s head and body slam’ pain. So when we open our mouth wide we expect you to know where the pain is. DO NOT pretend to be cute knocking each tooth and ask “Sakit tak? Yang ni sakit?” Bleargh!

DO NOT talk to us or ask questions, relevant or not while our mouth is wide open. We feel silly. We can’t even swallow our saliva. Want us to choke meh?

We tell you our medical history so that you don’t mess with the medication, just in case. NOT to hear your sis-in-law’s history of double ectopic pregnancy or how your contraceptive fails or your future family planning method.

You know, you can venture into new business. That anesthetic injection you gave.. the one that numb half a face? Well I personally would like to have one of those before my facial. Oh the Ah Moi can poke and squeeze my blackheads like no tomorrow and I’ll be pain free. No more tears. How’s that for a business idea? 15% kow tim?

If there is one advise I want to give to my keturunan, it would be “Never Neglect Your Gums".

Lastly oh dear dentists, we love you looooong long time. We should have more lovely dentists (seriously) and May Allah bless your soul.
